Will a paper-mache light melt?

I am making a paper mache light cover out of strips of paper and glue made from flour and water and covering an inflated balloon. After it hardens and i remove the balloon, if i cover a light bulb with it, will it melt, catch fire, otherwise be destroyed, or will nothing happen to it? Thank you.
