How to make a piggy bank with paper mache?

made one many years ago in grade school...blew up a balloon then covered it with vaseline petroleum jelly. then covered it with 3 or 4 layers of newspaper strips that were dipped into the paper mache glue mixture.Didn't cover the tail end of the balloon so it could be removed later. Let that dry then popped the balloon with a pin & pulled it out.used masking tape to add the legs, snout and tail that were pieces cut from egg cartons & covered those with the newspaper strips that were dipped in the mache mixture. let that dry, cut a slot for the coins & painted it.
