What is best to use in Jamaica? Jamaican dollars or american?

Most tourist areas will accept US dollars. I would recommend converting about $3-400 US to JD for other expenses. DO NOT use your credit card. Someone copied my card number and ran up $2500 in charges before I caught the fraudulent charges and reported them to the Credit Card company.
