Is it still too late to get a Visa to the US?

Me, my mom and my brother all have Jamaican passports, therefore we need Visa's to go to the US. My dad is Jamaican too, but he has American Citizenship. We plan to leave around July, but would it be too late to apply to get the Visa's now because the process can sometimes be long?
