How do I light a papier mache doll house?

I am planning to make a papier mache doll (fairy) house, but have no experience of putting lighting into this kind of structure. I know that some people somehow use tape as part of the circuit, I wonder if this would work if embedded inside the papier mache walls (which would mean that for a temporary time it would be wet with glue/water). Does anyone have any experience of dolls house lighting who could advise please? I really have no clue so a "fool proof" explanation of what I need to buy/do would be great...! I am also wondering where is the best place to buy such things - thank you in advance.
